About QuantumY
QuantumY is an independent English-language publication dedicated exclusively to gaming hardware. We are not a review aggregator, not a deal site, and not a general tech blog. Our focus is narrow and deep: the components, peripherals, and engineering that define modern PC and console gaming performance.
Who This Site Is For
QuantumY serves experienced builders, overclockers, competitive players, and hardware enthusiasts who already understand the basics. If you know the difference between GDDR6 and GDDR6X, if you have opinions on VRM phase counts, or if you tune memory timings as a matter of course — you are our reader. We assume prior knowledge and skip the “what is a GPU” introductions. Instead, we deliver analysis, benchmarks, and technical deep dives that respect your time and expertise.
Topics We Cover
Our editorial scope is deliberately focused. Every article falls into one of these categories:
- CPU & GPU architecture — microarchitecture changes, IPC analysis, thermal and power behavior under real workloads.
- Memory & storage — DDR5 vs. DDR4 latency scaling, PCIe 5.0 NVMe performance, DRAM cache behavior in SSDs.
- Motherboards & chipsets — VRM thermal testing, PCIe lane allocation, BIOS feature comparisons.
- Cooling & power — custom loop component selection, radiator thickness vs. fan speed curves, PSU ripple and transient response.
- Peripherals & displays — input latency testing methodology, OLED vs. fast IPS motion clarity, polling rate impact in competitive titles.
- Industry analysis — node process shifts, supply chain effects on pricing, standards evolution (ATX 3.1, USB4, DisplayPort 2.1).
We do not cover casual gaming, mobile gaming, or general consumer electronics. Our lens is always the hardware itself.
Editorial Standards
Trust is the foundation of any technical publication. QuantumY adheres to the following principles:
- Verification before publication. Every performance claim, specification, or technical assertion is cross-checked against manufacturer documentation, independent testing, or direct measurement. We do not republish press releases without independent validation.
- Timely updates. Gaming hardware evolves rapidly. When a product revision, driver update, or new standard changes the landscape, we update existing articles and clearly note the revision date. Our readers deserve current information, not static archives.
- No undisclosed sponsorships. We do not accept payment for coverage. Any hardware loaned for testing is disclosed at the top of the article. Editorial decisions are made independently.
- Corrections policy. If we make an error — whether in a benchmark result, a specification, or a conclusion — we correct it prominently and transparently. We maintain a changelog for every article.
Our goal is to be the source you reference when someone asks, “Is that benchmark actually accurate?”

We welcome technical feedback, article suggestions, and corrections. Because we are a small editorial team, we cannot respond to every inquiry, but we read every message. For hardware loan or press event inquiries, please email with “PRESS” in the subject line.
QuantumY does not provide user support for hardware products. If you need technical assistance with a specific component, please contact the manufacturer directly.
Why “QuantumY”?
The name reflects our editorial philosophy: quantum mechanics describes behavior at the smallest, most fundamental scale. We examine gaming hardware at that level — not just whether a component works, but how and why it performs. The “Y” stands for “yield” — the real-world performance you can expect when theory meets your specific system configuration.
